I’m operating with the secp256k1 elliptic curve and I’ve some extent Q at the curve. I’m seeking to decide whether or not this level Q was once derived the use of the purpose addition formulation or the purpose doubling formulation.
I’ve attempted calculating the purpose addition of Q with itself (Q + Q) the use of the purpose addition formulation and likewise calculating the purpose doubling of Q (2Q) the use of the purpose doubling formulation. Then again, those calculations all the time lead to the similar level.
Is there any approach to decide the derivation way of a given level at the secp256k1 curve? Are there any further steps or tactics that may assist me differentiate between level addition and level doubling?
